The alkaline shores keep the plants from growing in it so there is a continuous beach all the way around the lake. ATVing is quite popular and there is a great trail to ride along the water on for miles. Bashaw is fifteen minutes and offers all the amenities, Ponoka is 30 and offers even more options and there are 8 different golf courses to play within a half an hour!
